* - Prayer - Seeking Him first in all things
ABOUT The Creator
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
ABOUT Jesus Christ
God is Jesus Christ, the incarnate who came to live as a man. He is co-equal with the Father.
Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all
people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstate His power over sin and death.
He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
ABOUT The Holy Spirit
God is the Holy Spirit. He is co-equal with the Father and Jesus Christ. He is alive
and at work in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ.
He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He can provide each
Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth,
and guidance in doing what is right. He gives believers spiritual gifts.
We hold to subsequent powerful experiences with the Holy Spirit distinctive
from the salvation experience. We believe that all of the New Testament gifts
of the Spirit are as true today as they were when the New Testament was written.
As Christians we seek to live under His gracious control and in His power daily.
The Holy Spirit can move uniquely and powerfully if allowed.
ABOUT The Bible
The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors and under
the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of
truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspires it, it is the
truth without any mixture of error.
ABOUT Human Beings
People are made in the spiritual image of God and are created with equality in His sight.
People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has
tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of
disobedience toward God called "sin". This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
ABOUT Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up
for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ
as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty.
When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved.
Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
ABOUT Eternity
People were created with souls that exist forever. We will either exist eternally
separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.
To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life.
Heaven and Hell are literal places of eternal existence.
ABOUT The Church
The church is made up of all believers in Jesus Christ. At the point of salvation,
the believer is a member of the Church. Individual congregations are the local expression
of Christ's worldwide body of believers. The local church is a gathering of local
believers to worship God and to carry out His purposes here on Earth.
The main functions of the church are to worship God, minister to the community, and disciple believers, and share
the truth about God's love for each person.
ABOUT Lifestyle Practices
Beliefs are not worth much unless they are translated into actions. Based on what the Bible teaches, we feel very strongly about the following nine practices:
ABOUT The Bible As Our Sole Authority
"The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us to do what is right." 2 Timothy 3:15
ABOUT Autonomy Of Each Local Church
"Christ is the head of His Body, the church. He is the source of the body's life." Colossians 1:18 (GN)
ABOUT Priesthood Of Every believer
PRIESTHOOD OF EVERY BELIEVER
"Christ loves us, and by His death He has freed us from our sins and made us a kingdom of priests to serve God." Revelation 1:6 (GN)
ABOUT Baptism
"For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ."
Colossians 2:12 (GN)
ABOUT Spirit-Led Living
(Jesus said) "I am the Vine, you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; but apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5
ABOUT Telling Others About Christ
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15
ABOUT Observing The Lord's Supper
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
ABOUT Stewardship Of Our Lives and Posessions
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship.
ABOUT Fellowship and Accountability in Small Groups
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
